Our Philosophy
Gardner, Willis, Sweat & Handelman retains the conservative, small-town values of integrity and hard work while delivering legal services of metropolitan sophistication. We provide high quality and cost-effective representation to our clients.

Founded in 1976 by B.C. Gardner (now deceased) and Sherman Willis, we have grown steadily as our client base has expanded. Our clients range from small businesses and regional banks to the State of Georgia and national corporations. With clients from Waycross to Cartersville, we have a state-wide practice with a satellite office in Atlanta.

Our firm recognizes that clients' needs have become more specialized and has therefore moved toward practice specialization. Our attorneys' diverse areas of practice enable us to function as a full service firm able to address all of our clients' legal issues.

Although we embrace contemporary changes in the practice of law which allow us to represent our clients more efficiently, we remain steadfast in our commitment to the firm's tradition of ensuring the highest quality representation.

Work Environment
GWSH demands professionalism and dedication from its attorneys and staff, yet our culture is relaxed, considerate, and cheerful. We hire and practice without regard to race, religion, gender, age, marital status, disability, national origin, or veteran status.
