B. C. Gardner
B. C. Gardner was a founding
member of our firm. B.C. was a
native of Camilla, Georgia.
After graduating from the
University of Georgia School of
Law, he began practicing law in
Albany in 1947. He served in the
Georgia Legislature from
1950-1953. The son of a Georgia
Court of Appeals Judge, Mr.
Gardner was a member of the
Dougherty and American Bar
Associations and served as
President of the Younger Lawyers
Section of the Georgia State Bar
in 1948-1949.
Mr. Gardner founded our firm in
1976 and practiced here until
his retirement in 1986 when he
assumed an Of Counsel position.
Mr. Gardner was on the original
Board of Directors of the First
National Bank of Albany and
continued to serve on the Board
of its successor, the Trust
Company Bank of South Georgia
(now SunTrust Bank). Mr. Gardner
was a U.S. Navy veteran and a
member of the First United
Methodist Church. He was also a
member and Past President of the
Albany Kiwanis Club.
