Tami Peavy-Owen was raisedin Lumpkin, Georgia. Tami
graduated from Georgia
Southwestern State University
with honors in 2007 with a
Bachelor of Science in History
and a minor in Sociology.
She earned her Juris Doctorate,
cum laude, from the University
of Tennessee College of Law in
Knoxville, Tennessee in 2011
with a concentration in advocacy
and dispute resolution. She
competed as a member the
National Environmental Law Moot
Court team. She received
a Certificate of Excellence for
her representation of clients as
a student attorney in the
University of Tennessee's
nationally recognized clinical
program.
After graduating from law
school, Tami and her husband,
Patrick, returned to South
Georgia. Tami’s practice is
primarily focused on defending
employers against workers’
compensation claims.
Tami
became a member of the Georgia
bar in 2011. She is also a
member of the Dougherty Circuit
Bar Association and the Young
Lawyer's Division of the State
Bar.
