Richard McLawhorn was born in
Columbia, South Carolina.He graduated from North
Greenville University with a
Bachelor of Arts in History in
2005. He then received a
Master of Arts in History from
the College of Charleston in
2007. He earned his Juris
Doctorate, cum laude, from the
University of Alabama School of
Law in 2011 where he was awarded
CALI awards in Construction Law
and Litigation Drafting.
Richard also served as a Senior
Editor of the Alabama Law Review
and volunteered as an Ombudsman
for the West Alabama Regional
Commission Area Agency on Aging.Richard has taken the
South Carolina Bar and will sit
for the Georgia Bar exam in February
2012.
Richard moved to Georgia in 2011
with his wife, Stephanie, and
their daughter, Madison Clark.
Richard’s practice focuses on
general litigation, construction
litigation, and trucking
defense.
