Mark L. Pickett

Representing clients in the construction and trucking industries, Mark embraces a hands-on approach that includes offering immediate, on site investigation of catastrophic accidents. Mark has a thorough understanding of trucking and construction trade practices, as well as the legal and regulatory issues governing these industries.  His ability to relate and explain these complex matters in simple understandable terms has contributed to his success in resolving disputes and winning jury trials.  He is a member of the Trucking Insurance Defense Association.  He and his wife, Liza, have four children. Mark serves on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Albany and is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Chehaw Park Authority. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Anchorage and the Dougherty County Kiwanis Club. Mark is also a Sunday School Teacher and former Vestry Member at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

Born in Montgomery, Alabama in 1964, Mark earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1986 and his Juris Doctorate degree in 1990, from Vanderbilt University. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1991 and the Georgia Bar in 1995. Mark has served as judicial clerk to the Honorable Jean Hoefer Toal of the Supreme Court of South Carolina, as a prosecuting attorney for the Fifth Judicial Circuit of South Carolina and as trial counsel for the South Carolina Department of Social Services.
